Discipline Lead - Compute and Virtualization

Location: Remote

25% travel

World Wide Technology, Inc. is currently seeking a Discipline Lead to join our Practice Management Team.


  • Provide presales support for account teams (Account Managers, CSE's and CSA's and PS organization for potential complex PS services engagements.

  • Responsible for working with our sales organization to accurately scope PS engagements, attend Project Scoping Workshops (PSW) and Project Launch Workshops (PLW) with potential customers

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all things Compute and Virtualization-

  • Build marketing strategies to support overall discipline to build pipeline and grow PS services revenue/gross profits

  • Ability to provide thought leadership for discipline domain

  • Conduct roadshows/evangelism that highlight capabilities internally and externally

  • Communication skills -- able to highly articulate and convey important messages in a clear and compelling manner

  • Presentation skills -- ability to present various audiences (technical and non-technical)

  • Build methodologies and own the overall management of each methodology

  • Responsible for growing practice within discipline domain

  • Responsible for value prop for discipline domain

  • Responsible for tracking, managing and reporting financials for discipline domain

  • Responsible for marketing campaigns related to discipline

  • Responsible for closing services deals with account teams and business managers

  • Responsible for attending EBCs with account teams

  • Responsible for creating documentation templates for PS organization

  • Responsible for developing training that educate technical and non-technical audiences

  • Responsible for lab development and support for discipline domain

  • Responsible for creating case studies for discipline domain

  • Responsible to present discipline domain goals, customer business goals, status and organization updates

  • Review and recommend process changes related to discipline domain

  • Responsible for PS project escalations related to discipline domain

  • Review and validate understanding of customer design requirements and business requirements

  • Create High-Level Designs and Low-Level Designs for areas of expertise.



  • Qualified candidates will have 5 to 7 years of hands-on Compute and Virtualization, with recent experience in a Design or Architecture function

  • Qualified candidates will have 5 to 7 years of Presales or Post-Sales experience

  • Qualified applicants need to specialize in Virtualization and Compute Technologies
