Job Description

WWT is looking for a subject matter expert in Oracle EBS R12.2 to join our IT Operations team in St. Louis, Mo. The qualified candidate is expected to contribute to planned project work, proof of concepts, and day to day escalation activities on the team. As part of this role the employee will be expected to learn other database technologies as well.

As a member of the DBA and EBS Support team, you will:

  • Maintain technical relevance by cloning, maintaining, and patching Oracle EBS 12.2.x

  • Provide strategic direction around life-cycle management of multiple products, including Oracle EBS R12.2 through strong organizational skills

  • Be able to proficiently administer weblogic in relation to Oracle EBS

  • Automate and document processes within the database through PL/SQL, SQL, and cron/shell jobs, etc.

  • Expert level troubleshooting capabilities with utilities such as TRACE, AWR reports, and the ability to proficiently use OEM

  • Have the aptitude and passion to take on and learn new technologies and become proficient in MongoDB, Vertica, and ODI technologies

  • Seek opportunities to mentor junior administrators to assist in accomplishing tasks

  • Ensure end-to-end monitoring of the platforms for both performance and availability

  • Provide on-call rotation support with flexible capabilities

  • Work with project teams as required to design technical solutions to address project requirements

  • Be seen as an autonomous resource within and across other teams

  • Be able to objectively look at problems and create innovative solutions on your own through automation and outside the box thinking

  • Become a trusted advisor to business stakeholders our team supports

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to present on topics to mentor others

  • Proficient with Linux Administration


Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator

  • Bachelor's degree related to Computer Science/Information Systems OR equivalent working experience administering Oracle databases

  • Familiarity with the principles, methods, and techniques used in Oracle database administration and ability to use relevant hardware, software and other equipment.

  • Proficient SQL, PL/SQL, and bash or similar scripting skills

  • R12.2 experience and using the ADOP patching cycle

  • Experience with a ticket system such as Service Now or like system

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics or Engineering

  • Oracle high availability (RAC, DataGuard)

  • Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.2+)

  • 11gR2 RAC or above core database experience

  • Familiarity with Agile principals and methodology

  • SQL Server / Postgres / Puppet / Fusion Cloud experience

  • MongoDB, ODI, Vertica experience

  • SOA or SOA CS experience

  • Experience with architecture design and implementation
